Things gets more complicated if we look at two characteristics at the same time. Following is what is called a dihybrid (heterozygous for two different traits) genetic cross (mating).

Your ABO Blood Type is also genetically determined. Its inheritance is a little complex because it is a mix of 

• dominant/recessive: A dominant over O, B dominant over O 

• and A and B co-dominant: with AB blood type having  products of both the A and the B alleles of the ABO gene.
